Sneha Bhavan, Chikkamagaluru: 31st May 2019, the feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, was a joyous day for the Montfortian family in the Indian Vice-Province to witness the Perpetual Profession of our two brothers namely, Jesu Doss and Philip Pramod who committed themselves definitively to God and to the service of the Church, also four young novices namely Bros. Balaraju, Nuthan, Prashanth and Vijay who said “YES” to God through their First Profession during the Eucharistic celebration.
The Eucharist was solemnized by Rev. Fr. J. Joseph Smm, the provincial superior of the Vice-Province of India in which many Montfortians were present and this remarkable occasion was graced by many diocesan priests and religious both men and women. We were also inspired very much by the homily preached by Rev. Fr. Peter Swamy Smm who highlighted the importance of vocation and to do the will of God by giving the example of our Blessed Virgin Mary on the feast of the Visitation of Mary. The joy of the finally professed members was multiplied by the presence of their own beloved family members.
After the Eucharist, Fr. J Joseph Smm, the Provincial felicitated the professed brothers, welcomed them into the Montfortian family and wished them all the very best for their future mission. Soon after the felicitation, we had had a delicious meal prepared for all the people and in the evening, all departed the Novitiate community with a smile on their faces. It was a beautiful and memorable event both for the families of the professed brothers and for the Montfortian congregation in India. May God bless us with the spirit of Father de Montfort to serve among His people.
