Guru Mandir, Mysore: New Bishop of Lae, Papua New Guinea is an Indian Montfortian who worked in Papua New Guinea for almost 18 years. The Indian province celebrated this occasion with great pride and happiness in Gurumandir Mysore on 31st January 2019. The day is very significant as we celebrate the birthday of our founder St. Louis Marie De Montfort a saint who was vagabond missionaries who preached on the devotion of Mary our Heavenly Mother. Therefore, with gladness and joyful celebration, the Indian province celebrated this day. The program was organized to felicitate the Bishop and wish him well. Msgr. Rozario Menezes was born on 30 August 1969 in Viragpet of Mysore diocese, Karnataka, India to Mr. Domingo Menezes and Mrs. Monthi Mary Saldanha. The felicitation program was attended by Sir John Ribat (Cardinal of Papua New Guinea), Thomas Anthony Vazhappilly (Bishop Emeritus, Diocese of Mysore) who was the president of the function, Fr. J. Joseph (The Provincial of Society of Montfort Missionaries), Mgr. Leslie Moras (Episcopal Vicar General), Mrs. Pushpalatha Jagannath (Mayor - Mysore City Corporation) and many other dignitaries of Mysore. All wished Msgr. Rozario for the New mission of shepherding the people towards God.
